Laurence Cohen
Laurence Cohen has practiced in New Orleans for over 25 years. He has represented thousands of people who have been injured or hurt in accidents. He has tried hundreds of cases all over the state.
A civic leader since before Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Cohen has served on the District 5 Rebuild Committee and as President of the Lakeshore Property Owners Association. Throughout the 2 years after the storm, he has led the neighborhood's efforts in rebuilding to its it's pre-Katrina glory. He is a past-President of the Lake Terrace Homeowners Association.
The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point honored Cohen with the Captain Michael C. Walker award for his heroic rescue of 11 people the day following Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Cohen proudly served his country as a Lieutenant in the USNR and retired when he received his Honorable Discharge.
Named as an All-American Triathlete for the last five years, Mr. Cohen was also the Louisiana Multisport Athlete of the Year in 2004. He is the father of four wonderful children. |
